The plan for the first European AI and Cloud Summit was initially set for 2020, aiming to echo the same principles and vibrant atmosphere as the European Collaboration Summit. However, the Covid-19 pandemic had other plans, leading to a combined event with the European Collaboration Summit in November 2021, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The resounding success of that event paved the way for the first standalone European Cloud Summit, which took place in 2022 in Mainz, Germany. With 1,200 attendees from across Europe, the conference has already established itself as a must-attend event for professionals in the cloud computing and AI sectors.
